The 2 lovely babies are our Tuantuan & Yuanyuan the giant panda in Taiwan!!

They seems to live a very happy life now in their new place:)

MerJade sent me this cute card from Sweden. These swedish words says: When womem meet over coffee, they always have important things to talk about...

Thanks to Merjade, the 2 stamps are of coffee theme too! The left one says "Inrikes" which mean "home".

I am a big coffee fan myself too!

Semperoper, Dresden

The card shows one of the most beautiful opera house in the world: Semperofer in Dresden, Germany.

Semperoper was built in 1841. The acoustics and the orchestra, the Staatskapelle, are marvelous. Its history saw many operas of Wagner and Strauss having their first nights there. Nowadays productions are of lower quality and follow the German "Regietheater" fashion.

Pula is at the north of the country. The architecture here was built by Romans for gladiator fight, but now used for musical play.

Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale

This is an illustration for H C Andersen's fairytale "Nukku-Matti" (1940) drawn by Rudolf Koivu (1890-1946). Annamari wrote me this lovely card and told me Koivu is one of the best-loved illustrators in Finland:)

But unfortunately, I googled and googled but found nothing explaining Nukku-Matti in Chinese. Is it a name of a god??

But the card itself reminds me a traditional Chinese story of Mice's Wedding:D

This calm view of lake came from russianbuby in Kazakhstan. It is my first postcard from this mysterious country!

It is a view of Almaty. Russianruby told me on the card that this is the biggest city, which means father of apples in Kazakh. What a lovely name:D

Kuala Lumpur's Former Railway Station

The B&W photo of Kuala Lumpur's former Railway Station of Malaysia was built in 1911, and was once dubbed the grandest Station in Southeast Asia.

Bluesky told me on this card that after the last Intercity Train ran from this Station in 15.4.2001.

Rio de Janeiro means River of January. That is a beautiful city, biggest harbour and second biggest city in Brazil, well known for Cobacabana and Pão de Açúcar and also the Maracana Stadium, RJ Carnival and Cristo Redentor!

But it's a pity I haven't got a postcard showing the Statium the fantastic Carneval or Cristo.

The first 2 cards are published for the Pan American Games 2007.

This is a postcard sent from the City of Vancouver, showing Totem Poles in Stanley Park. In fact, it is among my favorite cards! :D

The Totem Poles were said to be carved and painted by native Indian people according to their religious belief. They have many different designs (bears, birds, frogs, people, lizards). They have arms, wings and legs.

And the Lappi girl is also cute. Lappland is said to be the hometown of Santa Claus. I have seen the beautiful view and reindeers from postcard. The Lappi girl on the card is skiing and wearing a sweater of traditional style I guess:)

This is a very lovely card from jhbr at Oldenburg, Germany I received several days ago for 3+ stamps TAG!

I always like the cards showing traditional festival, and the Oktoberfest should among the most well known one in the world. This card looks very attractive to me:D

Further, the stamps on the card are wonderful too. It's my first time to have miniature sheet from Germany, HAHA!

That's really wonderful! Because when I traveled to Russia and met an amazing set of national costumes postcards at the airport, but they are too expensive to affort so I had to give up.

This card show a woman from Forest-Steppe, Middle Dnieper Reaches. Since Dnieper is a river running across Ukrain, I guess Dnieper(第聂伯河) to Ukrain is just equell to the Yangtze river to my country:)

Stamps are also wonderful too, aren't they?! :D
